Flammability tests for fabric and clothing importers

By Maegan Burkhart Major clothing brand American Apparel recalled over 10,000 children’s “sleep sacks” in May 2019 due to a burn hazard. The related clothing items failed to meet the U.S. federal flammability standard for children’s nightwear and could easily catch fire.
