As Global Sources Summit wraps up a successful 2019, here are some key achievements from the only conference where Amazon and eCommerce sellers can also meet with thousands of suppliers.
April 2019 set a new record as it marked the highest number of attendees since the Summit began in April 2016 with more and more interest being generated from Australia and Europe in addition to the existing interest from North America.
Moreover, the April 2019 Summit featured a brand-new advanced Amazon training session with expert Kevin King. This was a 3-hour intensive and hands-on session for serious Amazon sellers ready to scale up their business.
The October 2019 Summit saw the biggest sponsorship revenue so far. The Summit is increasingly attracting more Amazon tools and service providers who are keen to get in front of experienced Amazon sellers. Our partnerships in the eCommerce world will only grow further with time.
Summit among most popular global Amazon events
Shortly after the conclusion of the October 2019 Summit, SellerPoll announced its winners where Global Sources Summit ranked sixth in the event/conference category.
The first annual awards, organized by Seller Sessions, are quickly becoming prominent among Amazon and Private Label sellers as Amazon expert and KOL Danny Mcmillan hosts it. It features six categories including: outstanding contribution, software company, service provider, Amazon consultant, Facebook group, YouTube channel, podcast, event/conference, and Amazon training course.
The ranking in each category is determined by the number of votes. Global Sources Summit was featured on the event/conference list and ranked sixth out of 15 other contenders showing that it is a fairly popular event among Amazon sellers worldwide.

2019 is the year Global Sources Summit created more engagement with the eTailer community through various activities.
We held three live webinars with KOLs to engage with the community and help them source effectively. Topics included: 1) Three Secrets to Get a Quick Boost in Amazon Sales, 2) Go Global – How to Start Your eCommerce Journey, and 3) Negotiation with Chinese Suppliers – Why & How.
We also held our first eCommerce meetup in Hong Kong after two years. The free session was aimed at the eCommerce seller community in Hong Kong to increase awareness of Global Sources Summit and our trade shows.
Zack Franklin, a consultant for the top 50 Chinese Amazon companies and CEO of the marketing, consulting and software company AMZKungfu, presented Favorite Tricks of Eight-Figure Sellers which was followed by a networking session.
Another more casual meetup was held on the eve of Global Sources Summit to help speakers and attendees get acquainted over drinks before the event.
Global Sources was also a proud sponsor of the 5-minute pitch, a competition for small businesses judged by four notable experts in the eCommerce space. We received exposure not only to the 5-minute pitch audience but also to the community of the four KOL judges—Greg Mercer (Jungle Scout), Scott Voelker (The Amazing Seller), Mike Jackness (Ecom Crew), and Steve Chou (MyWifeQuitHerJob.com).
Global Sources was also a participant and exhibitor at Prosper Show 2019. We were also able to interview visitors about their experience with sourcing at Global Sources and some tips they have for budding eCommerce sellers.
