Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications is set to launch 29 projects at ports in Yilan County, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Hualien, Taichung, Tainan and Taipei from next year to 2026. The goal is to boost total container throughput to 18.2 million TEU annually and the total cargo throughput at the seven ports to 1.8 billion metric tons by 2026.
