Samsung looks set to unveil some new flip and foldable phones within the next two weeks, per TechXplore. The official announcement is expected at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked: Get Ready to Unfold event to be held online on August 11. The electronics giant posted information on Twitter about the event Tuesday.
On its website for online registration to the event, Samsung teases: “For the past decade and more, we’ve seen smartphone innovations change our daily lives. Why change a good thing? … We’re about to give you better. Get ready to unfold.”
This former mobile phone powerhouse is back – or soon will be. The comeback did not materialize in the first half of 2021 as announced by its current owner, OnwardMobility, but a recent post on the company website says its new 5G smartphones are still in development. There’s also a “Pre-Commitment Program” on the site for those interested to get updates and pre-order the devices. Oh, and yes, the handsets will include a QWERTY physical keyboard.
That’s all for this edition of the Friday links – have a great weekend.
