Makers use composite, lightweight materials that enhance product efficiency and user comfort.
- Material blends: More makers use composite materials to improve product performance in terms of comfort, traction, responsiveness and durability. For the uppers, for example, suppliers combine PU and split leather and multilayered mesh to achieve lighter weight, and greater breathability and durability. The outsole comes in injected EVA, which features enhanced traction and resistance to vibration and water.
- High-top, midcut styles lead: The majority of products adopt high-top and midcut designs, which provide ankle protection and flexibility to the user. The latest models come in saturated, bright or metallic colors. Some pairs have printed patterns, patchworks or laser effects. Makers also use enamel leather and glazed PU to improve visual appeal further.
- User comfort & safety emphasized: Makers use an EVA foam and a water-resistant air pad in the insole to reduce vibration while playing and improve breathability. The uppers also have small air holes or a multilayered mesh for better heat dissipation. PU leather is added to the tongue to prevent the latter from slipping when a player is running, reducing the risk of the ankle twisting. Some companies incorporate injected PU in the heel counter for extra feet support.
