Companies are enabling upcoming releases to send results and data to smart phones and tablet PCs via Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth models on trend: China makers are rolling out more body fat analyzers that can transmit information to smartphones and tablet PCs via Bluetooth. These suppliers are also integrating match analysis software based on iOS or Android.
- Additional functions: Besides measuring fat, water, muscle and bone content, a number of products provide the amount of visceral fat and the recommended calorie intake. Some calculate the weight, BMI and BMR.
- Design upgrades: Models with glass enclosures are adopting ITO films to replace stainless steel electrode slices. In addition to the traditional square shapes and transparent styles, units with iOS-based software take after the iPad construction. These have black or white glass platforms. To boost visual appeal further, styles feature PU leather with leopard prints and electrode slices in a pearl necklace form.
