Makers are adopting MOV technology and upgrading inner components.
- Improved security: China makers of electric strikes are decreasing the time an electric magnetic force is generated. Newer models can produce electricity in about 3s, down from the previous 10s. Further, a unit’s holding force can reach 500kg, after undergoing a collinear load test.
- Value add-ons: New releases come with integrated MOV technology. This upgrade provides reverse current protection and anti-residual magnetism as well. In case of a power outage, a key-operated cam lock is on hand for manual operation.
- Structure upgrades: The lip can be made into a small, flexible round structure besides mechanical or sliced versions.
