Makers are replacing halogen and fluorescent bulbs with LEDs as environment-friendly alternatives.
- Energy-saving light source: A growing number of China-made ceiling lights adopt SMD and COB LED bulbs. This type has luminous flux reaching 100 lm/W which can be generated from at least 1W of power.
- Improved components: Suppliers are utilizing electronic ballasts in more releases, to replace magnetic types. Aluminum alloy is employed in the cover, shade and housing as well.
- Enhanced visual appeal: Under this measure, flower and animal patterns are applied to many models. Luminaires also come in more novelty structures and crystal housing, especially those used for decorative purposes. To create softer light, semitransparent enclosures are incorporated as well.
