Casual pants for both sexes avoid unusual constructions and heavy embellishments.
Makers of casual pants in China are releasing designs that will look stylish regardless of prevailing fashion trends.
The recent full-length and capri variants for women have slim, tapered, and boot- or straight-cut legs. Some women's pants do not employ back pockets so the userâs curves are emphasized more.
Products are also incorporating fewer trimmings. Decorations such as buttons and eyelets are typically limited to the waistband and compartments. A self-fabric, elastic or synthetic leatherbelt is sometimes included for added value.
As regards menâs pants, the latest models are constructed to be suitable for both ordinary and semiformal occasions. The majority has straight-cut legs. Welt, patch and slit rear pockets are mainstream. Rivets are the usual embellishments.
Black, khaki, light and dark gray, and similar low-key colors are currently preferred to bright shades. These are adopted in releases for both sexes.
In general, China-manufactured casual pants come in cotton and its blends. Such designs represent at least 60 percent of the countryâs exports.
Companies also utilize textiles made of other natural, synthetic and regenerated fibers. Linen, silk, polyester, rayon, viscose and Tencel are among the typical choices.
Products may have about 2 to 4 percent spandex content. The input enhances fit and comfort.
Laundering softens the fabric and preshrinks the clothing. In an ordinary garment wash, the pants are cleansed in a mixture of water and chemical agents at 40 to 70 C. The process takes 5 to 30 minutes.
Some factories employ enzymatic solutions that are safe to use on delicate materials. Besides softening and cleansing, these substances help improve anti-pilling quality. Treatments for wrinkle and fungal resistance may be applied as well.
Prices range from $6 to more than $12 per pair depending mainly on the kind and amount of textiles utilized. Menâs pants are 20 to 25 percent more expensive than womenâs pants.
Low-end releases come in polyester, rayon, T/C or T/R. They are fitted with two side pockets. Plastic buttons and zippers are the common closures.
Pure cotton and cotton-spandex garments are considered midrange. High-end styles adopt 100 percent or blended cotton, linen and silk. Other options include synthetic fabrics from Hong Kong and South Korea.
Casual pants for the upscale market have metal buttons and zippers. Some suppliers employ branded closures such as YKK. Products typically undergo ordinary garment or enzyme washing, and can be trimmed with rivets, studs or eyelets.
