Patchwork, exotic skin patterns boost aesthetics of China-made synthetic leather handbags

Models in green, yellow and blue with embossed ostrich, crocodile and snakeskin patterns draw attention.

  • Colorful models: Patchwork designs, mostly adopting a juxtaposition of bright hues, are increasing in supply. Many such releases also incorporate handles, straps and flaps in contrasting shades. Traditional black, brown and gray models, however, are still available.
  • Animal patterns: For an upscale appearance, several synthetic leather handbags feature embossed details that mimic ostrich follicles, crocodile scales and snakeskin. Some also have fabric or faux fur parts that bear tiger stripes and leopard prints. These come in simple shapes to allow the motif to stand out.
  • Decorative elements: Suppliers are elevating visual appeal by employing various adornments. Many manufacturers are incorporating metal studs and rhinestones in the body, tassels in the straps, and novelty and pendantzipper pullers.
