Suppliers are broadening decorative materials to suit varying market demands.
- Various embellishments: To meet different market demands, makers are expanding decorative options. The popular choices are acrylic, resin, CZs, ribbons, lace fabrics and beads. Several new models also adopt zircon, jade, turquoise, and metal pendants and studs. Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls, meanwhile, are used in upscale releases. Simple designs are strong in Europe and Asia, while the Middle East and the US are the main destinations for ornate pieces.
- Metal pieces dominate: Bracelets in zinc alloy, brass, iron and stainless steel lead output. Titanium, tungsten and 925 sterling silver versions are likewise offered but only in the high end. Designs can be polished, brushed, or rhodium-, silver-, gold-, rose gold- or gunmetal-plated for enhanced visual appeal.
