High-end models adopt hi-fi speakers for better audio performance. The bulk of releases support more formats and ports, and deliver wireless connection.
- Speaker: Class AB and D power amplifiers are mainstream, with the latter expected to dominate midrange and high-end models. As more units comprise two woofers, two tweeters or full-range speakers, the output reaches 2x1, 2x1.5, 2x2.5, 2x3, 2x5, 2x7, 2x10, 2x15 or even 2x20W. Some upscale products consist of two bass and two treble speakers, pushing total rms to 60W. These also adopt hi-fi speakers for improve audio.
- Display: The popular screen sizes are 1.5, 3, 4.3, 5 and 7in. Basic docking stations use panels from local or Taiwan providers. Samsung and LG Display inputs are found in pricier releases.
- Functions: The bulk of releases incorporate FM radio, alarm or projector clock, and calendar features. Products also support multiple formats, including AVI, RM, RMVB and MPEG-3/4. Buttons enable on/off, play, pause, stop, backward, forward, menu and mode selection, and voice control.
