Shift to anisotropic bonded NdFeB magnets under way

More suppliers are planning to switch from isotropic variants to meet higher performance requirements in electronics applications.

China makers of bonded NdFeB magnets are steadily moving toward R&D and production of anisotropic types to better match the trends for integration and miniaturization in various electronics. Fewer than 10 companies currently offer the category. These include Jilin Huisheng, Hubei Yiyuan Keda and Beijing Beililong. The majority of suppliers turn out isotropic kinds, which represent more than 90 percent of local yield.
